I share a similar approach to photographing families as I do weddings: Photographs are about your life - your life is not about photographs.
While I appreciate a classic frame where everyone is smiling at the camera, I’ve discovered that’s not the photo I end up staring at after my daughter falls asleep and I start to miss her. It’s the photo where I can see the sparkle in her blue eyes as she laughs with her daddy. That blurry one where she’s running away from me as I chase her with my camera through the house and I can feel her pure joy. It’s the in-between goodness that sometimes goes unnoticed in the busyness of everyday life;
Goodness that I hope to capture for you, because the mundane is actually pretty monumental and you deserve to hold onto it forever.
